Goji Cacao Tea Elixir

I had a class this past week at Whole Foods, it was called “Turn up the Heat” I shared 2 warm superfood drinks, and one warm raw soup. I am going to try to get all of these up on the blog for you all to enjoy.

If the weather is cold where you are then sometimes the idea of a superfood cold smoothie is not what feels warm and fuzzy. So after you have your warm morning breakfast you can sip on this goji cacao superfood elixir.

1-2 Guayaki Mate Chocolate Tea bags

1/4 tsp of spirulina

1/2 tablespoon of goji powder

1/4 tsp of cacao powder

sweetener of choice, honey or stevia

Brew tea as you would on the stove top, once the water begins to get warm begin adding all the above ingredients. Do not get the tea to a boil. This is a slow heat, so you will maintain the integrity of the superfoods. If it does not has as much depth as you would like you can add more cacao or tea.

If you make this yummy elixir post a pic on twitter or facebook and tag me! I would love to know what you think!
