Superfood Series: Goji Berries

Goji Berries

There are very few times that I do not have Goji Berries in my home. These super amazing power fruits are wonderful for your libido, your eyes, your immune system… pretty much your whole body! They are a main focus of my 21 Day Signature Cleanse and something I want my clients eating regularly. No need to supplements with pills when you can eat the best food ever. I love to eat so why not give me another reason to with these red babies.   I also plan on growing them, all you need is to buy a package and your seeds are ready right inside the berry. Very cool!

Goji Berries/ Wolfberry, are the Himalayan Superfruit. They are one of the most nutritionally- rich fruits on the planet, packed with vitamins, minerals, protein and antioxidants. They are a complete source of protein and a top longevity and strength-building food.goji-berry-1
A single Goji Berry can contain up to 21 trace minerals, including zinc, iron, copper, calcium and 18 different amino acids. Most goji berries are cultivated & harvested to maintain their potent raw qualities, the sun dried. The plant that produces these delicious gojis, Lycium barbarum, is a unique strain that has been used in Asian traditions for thousands of years. Goji Berries have been used over time for those with diabetes, high blood pressure, fever, and eye problems. Goji Berries are also very good for boosting libido and for getting increased blood flow.

Some of the best ways to use Goji Berries are in a trail mix, in snack bars or muffins, I also powder mine in a coffee grinder ( you can buy goji powder) and mix it into my refrigerator oats.  Goji Berries will plump up when you add them to hot water, and you can make a tea with them.  You can purchase goji berries capsules, tinctures and powders but why not just eat them 🙂

How have you used Goji Berries leave me a comment below?
